Submitted by Ruthie Gergeni

The Women in Business Initiative, hosted by the Center for Principled Business at K-State's College of Business Administration, invites you to participate in the fourth annual Women in Business Career Summit on Monday, Oct. 28.

Workshop proposals for high school students and nominations for the 2024 Kansas State University Women in Business Impact Award are being accepted. Join us in empowering and celebrating women in business and leadership.

Workshop proposals for high school students:
We are looking for engaging and interactive workshops designed for high school students exploring their strengths, interests and possible career paths. Submit your workshop proposal by Oct. 6.

Women in Business Impact Award:
This award honors individuals who have made exceptional contributions to advancing women in business, leadership and their communities. We invite nominations of individuals who demonstrate a commitment to mentoring, advocating for, and uplifting women in leadership roles at K-State and beyond.

Award criteria:

  • Significant contributions to promoting gender equality and empowering women in business and leadership.
  • Commitment to mentorship, advocacy and service.
  • Positive impact on K-State, their community or industry.

Nominations should include:

  • Nominee's name, title and contact information.
  • Description of the nominee's contributions — up to 500 words.
  • How the nominee has impacted women's leadership — up to 300 words.

Both workshop proposals and award nominations are due by Oct. 6. Selected workshop facilitators and the Impact Award recipient will be featured at the Women in Business Career Summit.
