Kansas State University's commitment to integrating engagement across all it does is central to its mission as the next-generation land-grant university. This unwavering vision not only distinguishes K-State from other higher education institutions but also drives partnerships that address real-world challenges — whether through educational outreach, innovative research, or service programs that benefit the people and industries of Kansas. K-State's collaborative efforts bring together stakeholders from the public, private and academic sectors to create meaningful impact, build stronger communities and support local economies.

As K-State continues its interdisciplinary approach to addressing today's most pressing challenges, Oct. 20-26 will be Extension and Engagement Week, highlighting the broad scope of K-State's engagement efforts across the university and throughout the state of Kansas.

Throughout the week, the K-State community is encouraged to participate in events hosted by the K-State Alumni Association, the Teaching and Learning Center, K-State Research and Extension, and other university units. This includes the following featured keynotes on Wednesday, Oct. 23:

Delivering on the Promise
8:30-9:45 a.m., Forum Hall, K-State Student Union

Next-Gen K-State Strategic Plan Update
10:15 a.m. to noon, Forum Hall, K-State Student Union

During these keynotes, attendees will have the opportunity to hear about the vision of how we are integrating engagement across all we do and lessons learned from the Delivering on the Promise community conversations

These activities provide an opportunity to connect with others and celebrate K-State's ongoing commitment to enhancing engagement and extension efforts across the state. From workshops to discussions with community leaders, these activities underscore the university's role in building partnerships that support Kansas' future.

By continuing to prioritize and celebrate engagement, K-State is well positioned to address critical issues and improve the lives, livelihoods, businesses and communities of Kansans through its service and outreach efforts.

Details and registration information for these events can be found on the K-State website. For questions about Extension and Engagement Week, please contact the Office of Engagement at ooengage@k-state.edu.
