As a music educator I believe that the community should be a bigg part of the music program. The music program strives on the support of the community through monetary support, attendance at events, and music advocacy. Music programs need to have a good relationship with their community to build a strong program. To help advocate to the community, music programs need to be involved in community activities, parades, events, and holiday celebrations. These events will expose the program to the community and people outside of the school.
