Alyssa Wendel recognized as Professional Staff of the Week
Alyssa Wendel, director of student affairs at K-State Salina, was recognized as Professional Staff of the Week at the March 2 men's home basketball game. Faculty Senate, the Office of the President and K-State Athletics wish to recognize her contributions to K-State.
Wendel oversees many of the day-to-day student-centered services that help students build a true sense of community on campus. This includes housing, student clubs and organizations, the recreation center, intramurals and conduct. Prior to joining the student affairs team, Wendel was an academic advisor for the campus. She has been with K-State Salina since 2016.
The Professional Staff of the Week recognition is coordinated by Faculty Senate, the president's office and K-State Athletics. Recipients are staff members selected by Faculty Senate caucuses. Those selected are provided tickets to a men's or women's home basketball game of their choosing and are recognized during halftime. This is just a small token of appreciation for those who work at K-State.
