Nominations open for K-State 2024 International Educator Award
Submitted by Office of international Programs
The Office of International Programs announces the K-State 2024 International Educator Award nomination process. The nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 30.
The award program began in 2003 to recognize an individual who has made significant contributions to advancing international education. Faculty, staff, administrators or other members of the K-State community are recognized for major contributions and sustained commitment to internationalizing our campus.
"The 2024 International Educator Award is the premier individual international award for the K-State community," said Grant Chapman, associate provost for international programs. "It represents many years of faculty and staff commitment to elevating international awareness and highlights those implementing global education and global engagement.
The provost's office and Office of International Programs will announce the award during International Education Week, celebrated this year from Nov. 10-22. The award includes a $1,000 honorarium and will be formally presented to the 2024 recipient during the spring 2025 All-University Awards Ceremony.
The International Educator Award announcement is a big part of K-State's International Education Week. The week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of State. It provides an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide, which serves to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the United States.
