National search announced for assistant vice provost for academic affairs and assistant vice provost for faculty affairs

The Office of Academic Affairs and Innovation announces two national searches for the assistant vice provost for academic affairs and assistant vice provost for faculty affairs at Kansas State University.
Joining the dynamic leadership of Provost and Executive Vice President Jesse Perez Mendez and newly appointed Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Innovation Margaret Mohr-Schroeder, the assistant vice provost for academic affairs and assistant vice provost for faculty affairs will serve as key members of the vice provost's team to ensure the future of K-State's academic enterprise is in support of the Next-Gen K-State strategic plan as the university takes its position as the nation's leading next-generation land-grant university.
The assistant vice provost for academic affairs will be responsible for driving academic excellence through program development and review and monitoring the academic portfolio and curricula across the university. The position coordinates policy development and interpretation for advancing academic programs, along with the advancement of current programs and development of new programs and curricula. This role supports ongoing coordination with the Kansas Board of Regents, the external governing body for the university, and coordination of academic policies across the university with a focus on integration of best practices and establishing a standard approach to program assessment and evaluation.
The assistant vice provost for faculty affairs will be responsible for providing direction and support for faculty programs, services, policies and practices. The position will play a key role in helping to shape the composition and experience of the faculty of Kansas State University. This role will serve as the university's primary liaison to the Faculty Senate for all matters related to faculty. This role also coordinates and collaborates closely with the Office of the Provost in matters involving academic personnel.
